We are proud to introduce our newest German Shepherd litter from Finnick V. Beskyd Cook and Niya Cook — a pairing that brings together generations of carefully selected European working bloodlines with dogs born and raised right here at Cook Farm K9s.

Niya is an outstanding bi-color German Shepherd female, born here at our kennels from Beya and our prized stud Hiro; giving her a pedigree deeply rooted in proven European working lines.

Niya is incredibly affectionate and devoted to us, while remaining naturally aloof with strangers. She has an incredible toy drive, loves to work, and possesses the confidence and protective instinct to respond when a genuine threat arises. She is a wonderful example of the balance we value in a working-line German Shepherd — loyalty, drive, intelligence, discernment, and natural protective ability.

Finnick brings a somewhat different personality to the pairing. He is one of the sweetest boys you could ever meet. He is exceptionally social, loves children, and has the loving nature that we hoped to preserve when we chose to continue this family line. At the same time, he has the intelligence, drive, and willingness to learn that we expect from our working dogs.

Also, Finnick was born and raised here at Cook Farms. He is a third-generation Cook Farm dog, making this litter especially meaningful to us. We knew his mother, father, and paternal grandparents personally, and his pedigree represents generations of dogs that we have had the opportunity to know beyond what is written on a piece of paper.

While this is the first litter for Finnick/Niya, these bloodlines are far from new to us.

We have been working with, raising, and breeding dogs from these families for nearly a decade. We know the dogs behind this pairing, the qualities they have produced, and the traits we wanted to bring together when we selected Finnick and Niya for one another.

That history gave us confidence in this pairing long before these puppies arrived — and as we have watched this litter begin to develop, we couldn't be happier with what we are seeing.

Finnick and Niya welcomed a beautiful litter of 12 puppies — 8 males and 4 females.

Over the coming weeks, we'll continue watching their personalities, confidence, drives, and individual strengths emerge. We are incredibly excited to see what this next generation becomes and how the qualities we have loved in these bloodlines for so many years carry forward into Finnick and Niya's puppies.
